Please join us at 1:30 p.m. this afternoon for this month’s Encore Academy when we learn about the Faribault Woolen Mills in a short presentation by Jeff Jarvis. This timely Heritage Days event will honor the company that has been so prominent in the development of our city’s history. This is also a time for you to reminisce with old friends and co-workers and stay for some coffee! This program will be held in the Senior Center’s Dining Room and is free and open to the public, no registration required.
Donate this week to our music and movie sale
Don’t forget that this is the week that we will be collecting donated, gently-used movies and music which we will then sell at greatly reduced prices at our annual music and movie sale. So if you have any VHS or DVD movies and music on CD or cassette that are collecting dust at your house and would you like put them to good use – please consider donating them to us this week. The donations will be accepted through June 18 during the hours of 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
Then next week, June 21-25, we invite the entire community to come on in and shop for movies and music at low, low prices. This event — donating and purchasing — is for the entire community, not just FASC members!

New member social
We are planning something new! We would like to invite our new members or other individuals who are considering being a member to our first ever new member social. The event is scheduled for 3 p.m. June 23 and will be held in our Dining Room.
The purpose of this informal activity is to introduce people to what the Senior Center has available for them in the way of programs, services, trips and so on. We will tell you about our dining program, the Clothes Closet and volunteer opportunities that might interest you. We will also show you around our center, introduce you to other members and answer your questions. If you have been a member for some time and have questions about us, you are also encouraged to come! This is a free event which is open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
