The financial services firm Edward Jones was named one of the best places to work in information technology in Computerworld 17th annual “100 Best Places to Work in IT 2010” survey.
The survey, published in the June 21 issue and online at Computerworld.com, ranks Edward Jones number 45 overall and number 26 among large companies. The firm has made the list every year in its nine years of competition entries.
Edward Jones earned praise for its partnership structure and its success in avoiding layoffs by engaging associates in cutting costs. About 10,000 associates are limited partners in the St. Louis-based firm.
Edward Jones, which ranked number two on Fortune magazine’s “100 Best Companies to Work For” in 2010, is headquartered in St. Louis. The Edward Jones website is located at www.edwardjones.com, and its recruiting Web site is www.careers.edwardjones.com.
